Need Immediate Assistance

I just started using the Porte app. I have been very pleased with the app and it’s features! However today I have been locked out of my app since this morning! By the grace of God I was able to transfer my paycheck to my other account however this was my rent !! I spoke with 3 wonderful representatives however no one was able to assist me with transferring funds or even the ability to transfer funds through the phone system. I love the app however it is crucial that Porte have a back up method in place just in case the app crashes and we need to access funds from the app. I was not aware that i could only access my funds through the app and not go online through a browser. I was not aware I could not access services to my account like , transfer monies etc and I was not aware that customers service would not have the ability to help me access my account at ALL ! I was told I have to wait 2-3 business days and this matter has been escalated. I am devastated because I left Chase Bank for this app and now I understand the importance of choosing banking services. As a single mother this is not good.

Horrible experience

When I first opened my account, I didn’t experience any issues other than being unable to use Zelle or any other money transferring app. Recently my account somehow was compromised and money was withdrawn close so to $200 was taken. Keep in mind I don’t share my account information with anybody and only used it for everyday expenses. Getting a hold of a representative was extremely difficult, the phone number provided both online and on the app would ring and an automated recording would hang up on its own after asking for language preferences. When I finally got a hold of an agent, I had to call several times back; they immediately blocked my card with no option for temporary freezing, and left me with absolutely no money, I’ve tried generating a virtual card and it won’t even add to my Apple Pay so I can’t use it, I’ve tried linking 3 separate banks to transfer funds and only one worked but amazingly would not show up on the application leaving me still unable to use my money. The customer support offered little to no help, the only thing done for my situation was that a new card was ordered and the fraudulent transactions are currently being investigated which I was told could take up to 49 days, I’m left with no money and absolutely no type of access to my funds. Overall I would recommend opening an actual bank account so that you don’t have to face the same circ*mstances I currently find myself in.

Mobile app, error messages

I have made several attempts to Access my porte checking account by installing the port mobile app on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. When I open the app and make attempts to enter email and password, an error messages appears on the screen of the mobile app I tried again, and I had the same error message appear on the screen, indicating there is an issue with this app. Try again later for the last four days I have had this issue. When I call customer service representatives, they are not able to provide IT support. No technical assistance is available through the customer service. I have no way to monitor my checking account unless I call the number on the back of the debit card and they give me a instructions on how to create an account and the error message appeared on the screen of the app while I was on the phone with the Porte representative. after several bad attempts trying to access my checking account through the Porte mobile app I have decided withdraw all of my funds from this checking account and never do business with Porte checking account ever again

Finally said bye to my traditional bank

Been with a traditional bank since my first job. It was just the one my parents used, so I did too. Now, I have a banking account actually fits my needs and helps with my savings goals. The app is easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing, and the savings APY is really great. Plus, I have an adopted pup and love that I can support the Humane Society just by using my card as I normally would. Pretty cool to have a banking account that gives back to causes like that. As far as the card, it’s matte black and gold, which is so different than any other I’ve seen. I’m very happy that I switched to Porte! 🖤

Negligence

Long story short, their app produces a direct deposit enrollment form with their old routing number on it. THEY WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY AND GET YOUR MONEY TRANSFERRED TO THEIR NEW ROUTING NUMBER. That’s too reasonable & logical of a thing to do. They said they changed to a new routing number after April 17th, 2021. I didn’t open my account with Porte well after April 17th, 2021. However the direct deposit enrollment form on their app is still producing a downloaded form with their pre-April 17th routing number on it. Subsequently, my money was sent to the (old) routing number & account on the form. My money was deposited into their subsidiary, Metabank. These Porte people can’t even contact Metabank to correct the problem and get my funds transferred to their new routing number. This is a nightmare. It is May 8th, 2021 and they haven’t even updated the app to keep it from producing the direct deposit enrollment form with their old routing number they stop using April 17th, 2021. This is negligence.

Several problems

1, the only good thing from this bank is the virtual cards somewhat. 2, the app is always under maintenance and will constantly log you out for several hours, you won’t even be able to log in at all. They really need to stop doing this. What maintenance are you even doing..? I never see a difference. 3, If you have a subscription with one virtual card, and later on delete that card on Porte, the subscription company still takes your money. Porte should dispose that card completely. It’s ridiculous how much money is coming out of this bank and I don’t even know from which subscription I have ongoing. 4, I have a few transaction on this bank that I never made, so beware of scammers from this bank. 5, the transfer limits are a joke. They need to make it bigger for the people with more money. Not everyone is broke and transfers a little, no offense. I need to transfer a lot! They have so much to fix it’s ridiculous, but then again this is a small bank with a lot more improvement and needs better customer service. 6, customer service will never fully understand you, they’re just simply slow and don’t know what they’re talking about and never know how to help.

Not off to a good start.

The routing and/or account numbers don’t seem to work everywhere for bill pay or linking accounts. Plus, it’s been two weeks and I still haven’t gotten my new bank card from them. I called today, and they will fast-ship another one this week. However, now when I open up the app, it doesn’t show me my balance and doesn’t contain the link allowing me to activate my card!!! Will this resolve by Thursday when I receive my new card in the mail? Only time will tell. But right now, I’m not happy and am starting to regret this app.

Stay away from this app bank

For the past few months, I have not been able to get my savings account statement because of an app error. When I called the customer service, they sent me the checking account statement charging me $5.95. When I called back and told them what I asked for was savings account statement, they charged me $5.95 again for sending what I initially asked for. I would never had to call them to send me statements spending my 30 plus minutes if the app was working properly. This is such an awful app. I can’t wait to close the bank account. Plus, They only let you take out certain amount from the account per day. So, it takes your time and patience, to take out all the money from the bank to walk way from it. Once in a while, you can’t even access to the app for maintenance. Stay away.

Very disappointed in new savings account changes

Effective January 1 of next year, Porte is changing their requirements to meet the 3% APY on their savings account: to qualify, one must receive both $3,000 in direct deposits total in a quarter, and also use their debit card 15 times in a quarter. I can meet the deposit requirement just fine (and in fact have already done so ever since I opened my account), but I also strongly prefer to use credit cards for all my purchases due to cash back/rewards. I wonder whether they consulted their user base first before deciding to implement these changes? The relative ease of maintaining a high yield savings account was a huge draw in my decision to use Porte and I was actually really enjoying my experience, as well as how responsive and genuinely helpful their reps were. Now it just feels like a bait-and-switch tactic.

Worst bank experience ever

Tons of bugs during the sign up process. And it caused you unable to login to your account and they let you call their number. And the number ask you for your phone number associated with the account. But at this step you have got any chance to put in any phone number or SSN into your account. After lots of failures it transfer you to an agent and they don’t know how to fix and then they put you on hold. Then the most wired part comes. While you on hold the system jumps back to the voice menu on itself and you have to repeat everything again, including explain the whole freaking situation once again. In the end the solution is to wait for an hour and sign up with the same email address again and see if the system has fixed on its own???

Hear me out/Get a different one

I’m the person who gets new debit cards before the world ever trusts them. I’ve had this card for a while and while you may love some perks…..DISPUTES are in the favor of the merchants. They have taken $200 of my money that was taken but packages never sent and let the companies keep it. They are NOT for their customers ….they only want more so they can grow and be scammy just like the rest. I can’t wait to bring this company down…..legally. I have so much documented it’s ridiculous. They are the Door Dash of cards. Scammy and still in business lol. Y’all are governed by another country anyway….just have a headquarter in this country. So I get it now. But please save your time and money should be safe. DONT TRUST THIS COMPAMY. It’s not worth it in the long haul. (This is 1 of the 15 cards company’s I have been apart of) I MISS N26

Buggy setup and failure of support

At every step of set up, I hit some kind of error wall saying I had to contact their support which translates to being on hold for hours at a time, and when you finally get through: support people who hardly can help. During account setup, before I even set up my password it locked me out of my account. Then once they finally let me access my account after accusing me of trying to setup multiple accounts, I tried to activate my card. Again errors. Support’s only advice has been to delete the app and reinstall. It didn’t work so now I have gone through this whole process to end up not being able to use my card due to buggy software that they lean the entire user experience on, which to be fair would make sense if it worked. But that’s one big if.

Best “Bank” in the world‼️💯💯

So much better than a traditional bank‼️ stick around with direct deposit and start a savings account with an interest rate worth actually investing into AND once you keep swiping that Porte card you’ll start getting “Porte Perks” you can activate in the app and get cash back on purchases from the places you already shop with customized offers!! Porte is Great

Porte has given me the opportunity to continue with my day to day transactions, direct depositing, and members at their branches have been so accommodating. I was in a bind from being released from my job due to Covid but the employer saying to unemployment insurance a different reason, which would not grant me EDD, so when behind on everything, Porte saved me to have an fully accessible account again when other banks only denied me. Truly awesome.

Wow, just wow.

I woke up today and my account was locked, so I called in and the asked for some documents because they need to verify I am who I say I am and that the name on the account is not fake. I say okay too easy what do you need, like a drivers license and a 2FA pin? Instead, they wanted me to email a copy of my Social Security Card, Drivers License, and a Proof of Address. I was like woah, I already did this. At this point, they became very hostile and short with me. The man on the phone cut me off multiple times and would not let me ask my questions on why today when I was up is my account locked. So I call back and I let the lady know that my new Social is in the Mail and it’s supposed to be here in about 8 weeks. She told me that there’s nothing she can do and that the account would have to close if you don’t want to wait. TLDR; Out of know where after a year of being with them they locked my account. When called they asked for 3 forms of ID and would only unlock it once they had it. They became very hostile to communicate with and did not want to help.

Extremely Problematic

I have several online bank accounts, too many actually, but my reason for having so many is simply because I was checking each one of them out first hand. As a result, I now have a small stack of unused debit cards. My Porte card is in the unused pile. I noticed and experienced serious and consistent glitches and bugs in the app that seem to have never been addressed and fixed. Very basic actions like signing in or opening the app has become an infuriating episode of frustration, over and over again. If you are going to tell us how Porte isn’t a bank, it’s an IT group, why can’t you produce and operate a working mobile application?

Best mobile banking start

Downloading and setting up the account was super easy. The interface seems very user friendly with many features you don’t see in other products. Transferring savings balances over to my new Porte account with these rates- you can’t beat them. Look forward to exploring more of the product as it becomes my primary source for spending in all retail and online spaces.

I saw the 3% savings in an ad on my feed. I was skeptical at first but I read up on it and I love the look of the app, so I am giving it a shot. I also like that they donate to charities on my behalf, that’s a great perk. They just launched it recently and are taking feedback, so I gave them some and look forward to future enhancements. Also love the card, very chic and safe since you can tap to pay!

Porte app

The only thing I don’t like about the app is the screen or the home screen with the big thing that keeps offering you to bring cash from another bank card or whatever is always in the way if you’re not gonna use it how do you get it out of the way I don’t need that. I already have it hooked up to my bankas a truck deposit so that’s the way all the time how do we get it out of there? That’s my only complaint have a nice day.

Atrocious customer service

One agent didn’t even realize that Porte has a savings account. Then I received an email from “Netspend” and thought my identity had been stolen, only to call the number and find out it was Porte. And they locked me out of my account, and when I called they had the nerve to ask me to verify my info that I couldn’t access while locked out. And when I told them the amount of the transaction that was blocked, and was the reason I was calling, they didn’t see the transaction because of course it hadn’t completed yet. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, then they put me on hold for a while and then hung up.

They closed my account for no reason

I’ve been trying to use my acoount for about a weak or so. I just called them today, just to find out THEY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ME KNOWING. I’ve been trying to pay my personal bills and I can’t because they closed my account due to “high risk activities”. When in reality I just fund my account, and make sure things get done on time. I’m not recommending this app to no one, and if someone ask me to describe the experience I have just encountered. It won’t be pretty, very unprofessional, poorly managed, long waits for responses, no solution to any problem of this matter. PLEASE DO BETTER in picking a bank to trust with your funds people.

I just got new card arrive by 5-7 days. so it will my first time because my other card won’t let me approve for a reason. I been struggling with apply any kind of bank with early deposits. I hopefully PORTE will improvement better than before I’m not sure! As long very important key communication without knowledge or something else. I can’t say enough about this bank it’s amazing. I tell everybody I know all my friends all my family about this bank. It’s amazing I tell everybody I know it’s the best bank that I’ve had ever had and I’ve had a few banks this one by far is the best. The getting paid two days sooner than on your payday is amazing.

Worst bank and app I’ve ever used.

The card arrived after a long wait, then I added money to test it out. Within a hour I was locked out for fraud & the customer service people did nothing to assist. They claimed my information was incorrect. I had only one email/phone number at sign up yet they’d did nothing. So either this bank is extremely unsecured or the employees are actually the scammers themselves. I began receiving odd calls asking my name “saying who are you?” “Who’s phone is this?”. I stated I want the account closed and my money returned via check but I doubt I’ll see it seeing how ignorant the last broad was on the phone.

Do not deposit your money!!!

Hi Porte, you have the worst app I have ever used on the App Store. Your app constantly crashes if I can even get it to open up in the first place. tried to do a check verification, and the app force closes on me. you need to do some major restoration on how your app is working because it is garbage. Some advice to anyone considering using the Porte app. DONT DO IT!!! Banking at its finest

Porte is great! Easy to use without any spending gimmick requirements! Just let your money grow! I received an invite to the savings account the same day the 1k DD threshold was reached. I received my first months dividend on the 1st day of the next month. The only thing I would change would be to link your other existing banks through the app.

This is a scam . I have direct deposit 2k weekly so I opened savings but one day savings account not available and not able to access funds that customer service says is available but they don’t have the option to transfer I would have to do it through the app which is impossible since savings no longer available and app under maintenance and when I spoke to customer service they told me to deal with it until they are able to fix it in maybe a few hours

Beware

Porte uses their 3% savings account interest rate to attract new customers. Many online banks use this tactic to grow in the early stages of their development. The interest rate will most certainly go down at some point. At which point any savings you’ve accumulated or transferred over will become incredibly difficult to withdraw because they have a daily limit of $200 that you’re aloud to transfer out of savings. The more money in your savings, means the longer it’ll take for you to be able to withdraw it

Do Not Get Porte Bank

Stay far away from this online bank. I opened a savings account purely out of convenience and closed it shortly after discovering the buggy features in the app, ack of transparency, and incopentent customer service. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced; the employees lack general knowledge. I've called them repeatedly requesting my 1099-INT form for tax refunds and now have experience four different instances where they "put me on hold" and drop the call instead. I'm surprised the company is still operating.

Improvement

I signed up for an account over a year ago but closed it because of the hassles I encountered. I recently decided to give Porte another try. HUGE improvement! The ability to transfer from accounts and check deposit are a plus. ( checks do seem to take a while to clear. ) I’m going to test out the direct deposit. If that goes well I’ll raise my stars.

Worst system ever

The app does not work. Really bad when you are transferring funds for a financial app to not work. They have a lot of dumb rules on how much can be withdrawn, transferred, or moved to another bank. I would give this zero stars if I could. Also, the pitch of high interest is a joke as so many steps need to be taken to get it. Their customer service put me on hold for over 15 min and then hung up. Even closing the account requires you to jump through hoops and they charge fees to close it. Lame bank app.

Very Frustrated

I’m not able to access my account I’ve called numerous of times and still not able to get a clear answer on why I’m not able to access my account upon logging in I keep getting an error message stating there’s an unexpected system issue, Please try again later! Love Porte!

I’ve had this card for about a month and love it! I needed something to separate my small business expenses and I originally went with Bluevine but realized they didn’t compare to Porte! Yes with Bluevine I get 3 free checkbooks, business name on card etc., but their card doesn’t support instant transfers! Porte does and I’m very happy with it!

Scam. If I can give minus star I will. Don’t use them

I deposit money in it, and then I try to withdraw, always saids “something went wrong” on the app. I call the customer line, the auto system can go round and round and it’s not possible to talk with human. And I email them, they teach me how to transfer money, but the APP has bug! I can not do it. If they don’t fix the problem I feel like I need to call the police. Horrible

I got this card today because I was trying to cash my check and the lady tricked me into getting this card. I downloaded the app and it is not accepting my card when I put it in to the app. I have called customer service 4 times today and I went back up to ace to talk to the lady. No one could help honestly Im going to spend what’s left on my card and I’m throwing it way I don’t have time for this. Next check I’m going to a bank.

Dissatisfied

Ok so recently there was some fraudulent activity on my account and once I filed a claim, I ah ent been able to login to my account, on top of that they keep saying that I should uninstall and reinstall the app and when I do that it gives me the same error message. I spoke to a representative about this and they told me to submit proper documentation that verified it was me and when I did they had me wait 6 hours for a response which I never got. Don’t bank with them.

Terrible app, they take your money

My husband and I downloaded this thinking it was gonna be easy to use… we were wrong. Cannot attach bank account so now we have $10 in our account and can’t transfer or anything. So now we’re out money because there is no way to transfer to bank account or to another card. Difficult to scroll through, cannot message anyone, can only call. Worst app I’ve ever used.

Problems!!

Used the app for 2 days and was loving it, until the 3rd day. I can’t get into my account now, lots of errors I can’t even get pass the passcode and when I tried deleting app and downloading again now the app is frozen! What’s going on with this app !? Should’ve read the reviews first, looks like lots of others have had this same problem. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!

The worst

I am a new member to Porte, received my card and unable to activate it. Spoke to three people regarding activation and none of them could help. One lady deactivated my temporary card and now I can’t access my funds all together. Telling me I have to wait 48 business hours to try to activate my card when they have 1000+ in the account and bills have to be paid but unable to because they won’t activate card. The worst I have dealt with by all means.

Terrible app and ridiculous security management

Won’t let me open my account. Right after I entered my name and email and password the app just kicked me out and locked my not complete account saying it has security concerns. Called customer service and had them entered my information and transferred to fraud team, they say I am good to go but still not able to login. Never had so much trouble trying to open a bank account.
